Bryan Evans, Director of the Pitt Soil and Water Conservation District, is reaping the benefits from all of his hard work over the last 16 years of service to the county. After being named the N.C. Conservation District Professional in the fall, he went on to sweep the competition in the regional section receiving the honor of being named the Conservation District Professional for the southeast region.
At the N.C. Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts annual meeting in January, while being recognized for his accomplishments, Bryan was shocked to find what so many others knew he deserved. It was announced that Bryan had been named the winner of the National Conservation District Professional of the Year award for 2011.
